At Krewe of Venus, our mission is to celebrate the spirit of the carnival season by organizing a vibrant and inclusive carnival ball, while simultaneously giving back to our community through charitable initiatives and support.

Founded in 1976, Krewe of Venus has been a home for women from all walks of life to come together and share their love and passion for Mardi Gras. What began as a small group of spirited women with a vision has grown into one of Jackson County's most vibrant krewes. For nearly five decades, Venus has celebrated sisterhood, tradition, and community giving. From honoring the pageantry of Carnival season to supporting local causes, our Krewe continues to shine as a place where friendship and Mardi Gras magic flourish year after year.

At the heart of Krewe of Venus is a team of dedicated women who work year-round to keep the spirit of Mardi Gras alive. From planning dazzling events and raising scholarship funds, to welcoming new members and honoring our traditions, our leadership and committees ensure that the Krewe continues to thrive.
